This role requires an in-depth understanding of electrical systems, including design, installation, and materials, along with a strategic approach to cost estimation. Role summary:

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation of precise and comprehensive cost estimates for electrical projects, encompassing materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor costs
  • Analyse project drawings, specifications, and technical documents to determine scope and requirements
  • Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and internal teams to clarify project scope and align with client objectives
  • Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes to ensure they meet project specifications and cost targets
  • Develop in-depth project methodologies to reinforce bid strategies
  • Prepare technical and commercial departures to accompany JLE bids
  • Review client agreements/contracts, escalating to CCH Commercial when necessary
  • Conduct risk assessments and recommend cost-effective risk mitigation strategies
  • Maintain and update detailed cost breakdowns, ensuring alignment with company objectives
  • Oversee the project handover process to the delivery team
  • Provide technical input and cost advice during contract negotiation and award phases

 

To be successful in this role you will have

  • 3+ years Electrical Estimating Experience
  • Great organizational & computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Projects
